New York $400 Inflation Rebate Checks: Millions of people in New York are getting extra money in their homes this year. Governor Kathy Hochul started a program to help families deal with the rising cost of living. Over 8 million households will get checks of up to $400. This money is meant to help mostly middle class people New Yorkers pay for things that cost more after the pandemic.
The amount each family gets depends on income and whether they are single or married. Single people who earned up to $150,000 and couples who filed jointly are eligible. This payment money comes from the 2023 state tax return.
