SNAP Benefits Payment May 2024
SNAP Benefits Rise From October: The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, which people used to call food stamps, is getting a boost in monthly benefits starting October 1, 2025. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) confirmed the change that this increase is meant to help families buy enough food as prices keep going up. Millions of low-income households across the country will see the rise in thier monthly payments now.
In some states and territories, the amounts will change a lot. In Alaska, a family of four can now get between $1,285 and $1,995. In Hawaii, benefits will go down slightly to $1,723. In Guam, the maximum will be $1,689, and in the U.S. Virgin Islands, it will be $1,278.
