The SSA will send checks to retirement, disability, and survivor beneficiaries born between the 1st and 10th.
Social Security payments Sep 10: Millions of Americans who depend on Social Security will see their next payment arrive next week. The Social Security Administration will send the money on Wednesday, September 10, as part of its monthly payment cycle. These payments include retirement, disability (SSDI), and survivor benefits, which together support around 69.9 million people in the US.
The agency does not send all the money on the same day. Instead, most people get their checks on one of three Wednesdays every month. The week chosen depends on the date of birth of the worker whose earnings made the benefit possible.

If you receive benefits on your own work history, your birthday decides the date. If you get money through a spouse or parent, then their birthday decides it. On September 10, the checks will go to people whose birthdays fall between the first and the tenth of any month.
Not everyone follows this Wednesday system. People who started receiving retirement, disability, or survivor benefits before May 1997 have their own rule. They always get paid on the third of each month. This means they already got their money this week.
Supplemental Security Income, or SSI, is a different program that helps older adults and disabled people with low incomes. These payments usually come on the first of each month. But September 1 was a holiday, so SSI payments were sent earlier on Friday, August 29.
Some people get both SSI and regular Social Security, about 2.5 million in total. They normally get their SSI money on the first and their Social Security check on the third. But since September 1 was a holiday, the SSI part came on August 29 instead.
