SSDI May Payment: Wednesday will see the distribution of the third round of May Social Security Disability Insurance checks. Beneficiaries whose birthdays fall between the eleventh and twentieth of the current month will get benefits this week.

May has four set payout dates. Your birthday and when you began receiving SSDI determine when your payment will arrive. You may need to get in touch with the Social Security Administration if, by the end of the month, you have not received your payment.

We’ve included dates below when your SSDI money might arrive. Recall that SSDI is paid on the same day that Social Security is paid.

Payment schedule if you have been receiving SSDI from 1997 or before

Your payment should come on the third of each month if you have been an SSDI recipient from May 1997 or before.

There are outliers. Should the third of the month fall on a weekend or holiday, your payment will be made on the next working day. As March 3rd happened on a Sunday, for instance, some SSDI claimants got their payments on March 1st, two days early.

The birthdate of everyone else determines their timetable.

The same timetable applies to payments for those who haven’t received SSDI since 1997 or before. It functions like this:

• Should your birthday fall between the first and tenth of the month, your money will be given out on the second Wednesday of that month.
• Your payment will be sent on Wednesday of the third month if your birthday falls between the 11th and 20th.
• Your payment will be sent on the fourth Wednesday of the month if your birthday falls between the 21st and 31st.

When can you expect your SSDI payment in May?

• May 3: SSDI recipients who have been receiving benefits before May 1997 will be paid.
• May 8: Payment of SSDI to persons whose birthdays fall between the first and tenth of any particular month is on May 8.
• May 15: SSDI payments for persons whose birthdays fall between the eleventh and twentieth of any given month are made on May 15.
• May 22: SSDI payout for persons whose birthdays fall on the 21st or 31st of any given month.
