SSDI Payment June 2024: Find out if you’re eligible for the next payment

Millions of Americans receive monthly income from Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) on June 18th, with payments sent one day early for those born between June 11th and 20th.

SSDI Payment June: Unbeknownst to you, millions of Americans receive their monthly income from Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI).

The federal holiday for Juneteenth is this coming Wednesday, June 19.

For those whose birthdays come between the 11th and the 20th of the month, the SSA is sending out payments one day early.

Therefore, on Tuesday, June 18th, if you were born within that period, you can anticipate receiving your SSDI deposit in your bank account.

The SSA operates according to a regular schedule for everyone else:

  • Second Wednesday: You normally receive your payment on the second Wednesday of the month if your birthday comes between the first and the tenth of the month.
  • Fourth Wednesday: The fourth Wednesday of the month is when your money is received if your birthday falls between the 21st and the 31st.
  • Early May Filers: Your payment date may vary if you began receiving SSDI benefits before to May 1997. In this instance, the third of every month is probably when you get your benefits.
  • Recipients of Supplemental Security Income (SSI): On the first of every month, people who receive both SSI and SSDI will have their SSDI payment deposited alongside their SSI.

What if my SSDI payment is late?

By 12:01 am on your appointed date, most SSDI payments are electronically placed into your bank account.

Nevertheless, the following actions should be taken if your payment is absent or late:

  • Consult your bank: There may be a brief problem on their end that is the reason for the delay.
  • Speak with the SSA: If your bank isn’t the problem, contact your local office or call the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778).
  • Paper Check Delays: Give yourself three working days after the anticipated mailing date before contacting the SSA to request a replacement if you’re among the few who still receive paper checks.

Your birthdate and the SSA’s payment schedule will help you predict when your SSDI benefits will be issued monthly.

Please get in touch with your bank or the SSA for assistance if you have any questions or if your payment is overdue.
