SSDI Payment Schedule: Who Will Receive Their Benefits Next Wednesday? Find Out Now!

SSDI benefits provide financial support to Americans, distributed monthly based on birthdates, with instalment payments set to resume in 2024.

SSDI Payment Schedule: Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits are very important for many Americans because they give them much-needed money.

But not everyone gets these payments at the same time. That’s because the Social Security Administration (SSA) gives them out throughout the month based on the beneficiary’s birthday. In 2024, the Social Security Administration will still send payments over time.

Social Security Eligibility Changes: Discover the New Conditions for SSDI Eligibility

Which Wednesday of the month you receive SSDI benefits depends on your birth date:

  • Second Wednesday: Every month on the second Wednesday, if your birthday falls between the first and the tenth, you will be paid.
  • Third Wednesday: Your payment will be sent on the third Wednesday if your birthday is between the eleventh and the twentieth.
  • Fourth Wednesday: If your birthday is between January 21 and December 31, you should get your payment on the fourth Wednesday.

Payments are made on the third of every month to beneficiaries who began receiving benefits before May 1997, regardless of the date of birth.

Dates of payment in September 2024

It is important to know when you can expect your SSDI payment as September draws near.

September 11th is the first payment date; it is the second Wednesday of the month. On this day, beneficiaries whose birthdays fall between the first and tenth of any given month will get their payouts.

Your payment will be deposited on September 18th if your birthday falls between the 11th and the 20th.On September 25, the fourth Wednesday of the month, those whose birthdays fall after the 20th should anticipate receiving their money.

What Happens If My Money Is Missing or Is Late?

Rarely, money might disappear or be delayed. Should this occur, there are actions you can do:

  • Consult your bank: Your bank may occasionally be the cause of the delay. First, check with your bank to see if there are any problems.
  • Speak with the SSA: If there are no delays reported by your bank, call 1-800-772-1213 or stop by your local Social Security office.
  • Paper Checks: Give it three business days after your regular delivery date before taking any action if you’re one of the few still receiving paper checks.

Get in touch with the SSA for a replacement check and review if you haven’t received yours yet. You can more effectively manage your finances and anticipate receiving your benefits every month by keeping up to date with the SSDI payment schedule.
