SSI Payment Schedule August: When Will You Receive Your Social Security Payment Next Month?

15 million people rely on SSDI and SSI for income, with SSA sending monthly payments to help those below poverty line.

SSI Payment Schedule August: About 15 million people depend on Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) as their main source of income. Read on to find out when you can expect to get your contributions this month. How you pay for each program is different.

The federal government runs SSI to help people and kids who live below the poverty line with their money stress. By the way, the Social Security Administration (SSA) sends these checks on the first of every month.

Social Security Disability Insurance, on the other hand, pays people every month who can’t work because of a physical or mental disability. It helps people who have reached retirement age by giving them money.

SSI Payment Schedule August: When will you receive your August SSDI payment?

SSDI payment dates for next month are as follows:

  • August 14: If your birth date is between the 1st and 10th of the month.
  • August 21: If your birth date is between the 11th and 20th of the month.
  • August 28: If your birth date is between the 21st and 31st of the month.

The third of every month is when your payment is sent if you started receiving SSDI before May 1997. Regardless of your birthdate, if you are also receiving SSI, this payment will arrive on August 1 and your SSDI deposit will be received on August 3.

If your payment from either program doesn’t show up on the due date, the Social Security Administration says to wait three business days before calling your bank to see if there is a problem on their end. If everything is fine with your bank, go to the closest Social Security office or use one of the SSA’s ways to contact them.
