Stimulus Payments January 2026: Some US states are still sending money even as 2025 ends. One big northern state is Alaska. It continues to send the Permanent Fund Dividend to people who have not received it yet. The payment is for the 2025 cycle. The amount is $1,000. Many people already got their money, but some applications are still under review. Because of this, Alaska will keep sending checks into January 2026.
The state sends money only to people whose applications are approved but unpaid. These applications show a special status in the system. Alaska officials explained that payments depend fully on this status and not on when a person applied.

Alaska shared clear dates for the next payment rounds. Applications from 2025 or earlier that showed the status “Eligible Unpaid” on December 10, 2025 were paid on December 18, 2025. This payment went out on a Thursday.
The next payment date is also fixed. Applications from 2025 and older years that show the status “Unpaid Eligible” on January 7, 2026 will get paid on January 15, 2026. People who still wait for their money should check their status before this date.
The PFD Division is also helping people affected by Typhoon Halong. Flooding forced many residents from Western Alaska to leave their homes. Some now live in shelters in Anchorage. These people can still get their PFD checks by mail.
They can use a special mail unit at the Egan Center. This place sits on the second floor at 555 West 5th Avenue in downtown Anchorage. The state opened this option because post offices in Kipnuk, Kwigillingok, and Napakiak are closed for now.
Alaska officials ask everyone to keep their details correct. If you moved or changed your bank account, you must update this information quickly. People who used a myAlaska account can log into myPFD and make changes online.

If you did not apply online, you must print and fill out the Change of Address and or Payment Method form. This form is available under the 2025 FORMS section on the PFD website. The state clearly says it does not accept address or bank changes by phone.
People can easily track their payment status.
