Alaska is carrying on its custom of disbursing yearly payments via the Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD). Residents will receive an extra $650 in energy relief payments this year, for a total of $3,284 per qualifying recipient. Even though many people started receiving direct deposits in September, paper checks will still start to arrive in the mail in early October.

Millions of Californians are still receiving their Middle-Class Tax Refund. The state expects 90% of eligible individuals to receive their checks this month. Payments started earlier in October. A payment of $350 is available to those making less than $75,000 per year; additional funds are available for households with dependents. These payments are issued out on debit cards or are deposited straight into bank accounts.

Another round of tax refunds for residents has been approved in Idaho. Couples filing jointly will receive $600, while individual filers will receive $300. The processing of these payments started in late September, and checks are now being sent out every week, guaranteeing that thousands of residents will receive their payments for the rest of the year.

As part of a $1 billion plan to help people, people in South Carolina may get tax refunds of up to $800. The first payment is expected in October, and all of them will be sent out by the end of the year.

Virginia is also giving rebates: $250 for people who file as a single person and $500 for people who file as a joint person. Most residents should get their payments by the end of October.
