As an example, the January 2024 payment was made on February 1, 2024; the February payment was made on March 1, 2024; and so on.

The VA advances the payment to the final working day of the preceding month, although if the payment day falls on a weekend or holiday. The deadline for August is September 1st, which falls on a Sunday. As a result, the deposits will be advanced by the Department to Friday, August 30.
