TANF Cash Help Texas June: What is the monthly TANF amount in Texas?

The highest monthly income levels needed to get TANF depend on how many people live in the home and how big the family is.

One-parent homes with one child can make up to $163 a month, while two-parent homes with two children can make up to $268 a month.

Grandparents or other relatives taking care of a related child may also be qualified for TANF, even if their income is higher than the normal limits.

To obtain TANF, a parent or family member must agree to participate in job training or job search activities, fulfill child support regulations, keep their employment, not use drugs, attend parenting programs, ensure their child is immunized, and attend school.

The biggest monthly TANF payment amounts may also depend on the number of people in a family and how they are organized. In this case, a home with one parent and one child can earn up to $305 per month, while a home with two parents and two children can earn up to $503 per month.
