TCA Florida Payment 2025: Dates for Temporary Cash Assistance Payments

Florida sends Temporary Cash Assistance payments on different days each month, and December 2025 is no different. TCA benefits will arrive between the 1st and the 28th, based on each family’s case number.

TCA Florida Payment 2025: Florida gives cash help to families who are struggling and caring for kids. This support is called Temporary Cash Assistance, or TCA. The money helps parents take care of children while the family works toward a better and more stable life. The state wants kids to stay in their own home, so this program offers support when families have low income and low assets.

The TCA program also helps pregnant women who cannot work in their last months. Florida says this help can start in the third trimester if the mother is unable to work or in the ninth month of pregnancy.

Family Tutor Program

This program gives money every month to relatives who take care of a child who is under 18. The child must be ruled “dependent” by a Florida court and must be placed in the home by a DCF child welfare worker. The money families get each month is more than what a child receives under regular Temporary Cash Assistance but it is still less than what foster families get.

Only the child’s own income and the child’s own assets are checked when the state decides the payment. The amount of money depends on how old the child is and how much countable income the child has. If a child has no income at all the monthly payment is based only on age.

Payment Amounts (Child Has No Income)

  • Age 0 to 5: $242 per child
  • Ages 6 to 12: $249 per child
  • Ages 13 to 17: $298 per child

  • Child must have a Social Security number or proof of applying.
  • Child’s assets must be $2,000 or less.

  • Caregiver must work with child support services.
  • Kids under 5 must have vaccinations.
