On whom does TCA apply?

Many people who receive TCA need to take part in work-related activities, unless they are exempt. Regional Workforce Boards offer resources to help people find or keep a job.
Eligibility for TCA is based on income and asset limits. A family’s countable income must be below a set payment standard for their family size, and their gross income needs to be less than 185% of the Federal Poverty Level.
Applicants must also meet certain residency and citizenship requirements. They need to live in Florida and be U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens.
Additionally, they must have a Social Security number or proof that they’ve applied for one. The program also requires children to live with a parent or close relative to make sure that the assistance goes to those who really need it.
