VA Benefit Payment Schedule November: Veterans who are getting monthly disability benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will see a small increase in 2025. Their checks are going up by 2.5% due to cost-of-living adjustment (COLA). This raise started in December 2024 and the first payment with the higher amount was sent on December 31, 2024.

When the November 2025 Payment Arrive?

The VA sends disability payments on the first business day of each month. But when that date falls on a weekend or federal holiday, the VA pays earlier to make sure veterans don’t have to wait. For November 2025, the payment will arrive on Monday, December 1, 2025, because November 1 falls on a Saturday. This follows the VA’s long-standing rule to never delay benefits due to weekends or holidays.

Who is Eligible for VA Disability Benefits?

Eligibility for VA benefits depends mainly on military service, discharge type, and sometimes income or disability status. Most benefits require an honorable or general discharge, though a few exceptions can apply. Active-duty veterans usually need to have served at least 24 months or for the full time they were called to duty. Reservists or National Guard members normally qualify after completing 90 days of active duty.

Here are the VA payment dates for 2025:

  • January – Jan. 31, Friday
  • February – Feb. 28, Friday
  • March – Apr. 1, Tuesday
  • April – May 1, Thursday
  • May – May 30, Friday
  • June – July 1, Tuesday
  • July – Aug. 1, Friday
  • August – Aug. 29, Friday
  • September – Oct. 1, Wednesday
  • October – Oct. 31, Friday
  • November – Dec. 1, Monday
  • December – Dec. 31, Wednesday

Each VA benefit type has its own rules. Disability compensation is for veterans with service-connected health problems and has no income limit. Veterans’ pensions, on the other hand, are meant for low-income wartime veterans who are 65 or older, or those who are permanently disabled. Surviving family members of deceased veterans may also get Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) if they meet certain conditions.
