The competition is part of the Olympic qualification cycle for the Race to Paris, and Sindhu would like to strengthen her standing by claiming her first title of the season. At the Madrid Masters, Sindhu’s greatest performance in 2023 is a runner-up finish.

Lakshya Sen will lead the Indian challenge in men’s singles, while B. Sai Praneeth, the former Canada Open champion, Praupalli Kashyap, and Sankar Muthuswamy will compete in the qualifiers.

Tasnim Mir and Gadde Ruthvika Shivani represent India in the women’s singles competition. Tasnim will face Thuy Linh Nguyen of Vietnam, while Ruthvika Shivani will face Supanida Katethong of Thailand.

In men’s doubles, India’s only opponent will be the duo of Krishna Prasad Garaga and Vishnuvardhan Goud Panjala. In the opening match, the duo will face Julien Maio and William Villeger of France.
