Chiefs-Jets Week 4: How to watch Chiefs-Jets Week 4The Kansas City Chiefs will face the New York Jets on “Sunday Night Football” during Week 4 of the 2023 NFL campaign.

The reigning Super Bowl champions play their second game of the year in primetime. Unfortunately, the anticipated matchup between Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers will not occur. Instead, second-year quarterback Zach Wilson will attempt to stabilize the ship after Rodgers’ season-ending injury.

Slowing down the Jets’ running game

The Chiefs have been forthright about the aspect of this Jets offense they fear most: the running game. In Week 4, it will be crucial to slow down the three-headed colossus of Breece Hall, Dalvin Cook, and Michael Carter. The most effective method to counter a running game is to gain an early advantage.

Primetime Jawaan Taylor

Cris Collinsworth, a commentator for NBC, criticized the pre-snap alignment of Jawaan Taylor in the season opener against the Detroit Lions. It resulted in the league cracking down on unlawful formation penalties, but in reality it only resulted in Taylor being singled out. This week will either be a repeat of Week 1 or Taylor will have figured things out and removed himself from the spotlight. There is probably little to no middle ground.

3 players to keep an eye on

RB Jerick McKinnon: Fresh off a two-touchdown performance in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears, McKinnon once again appears to be an offensive catalyst for the team. Can they incorporate him into the passing game in consecutive weeks?

TE Travis Kelce:  According to Jets head coach Robert Saleh, the team may occasionally assign CB Sauce Gardner to defend TE Travis Kelce. During the previous season, they were successful against Ravens TE Mark Andrews. On Sunday, will there be a matchup between former Cincinnati Bearcats?

CB Nic Jones:  With Jaylen Watson ruled out due to a shoulder injury, it appears that Nic Jones will make his NFL debut during the 2023 campaign. He will presumably be relegated to a backup role, but he excelled in training camp and the preseason. If he receives some defensive experience, it could prove useful in the future.
