Asian Games 2023: The legendary sprinter Jyothi Yarraji will compete in the 100-meter hurdles event in the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, as part of the Indian athletics team.
A video that Asha Bhosle posted on X purported to show Yarraji winning gold in the 100-meter hurdles event. The sprinter from Andhra Pradesh was shown winning the hurdles race in the video.
Gautam Gambhir, a former Indian cricketer, also congratulated Yarraji on her purported medal on X.
The Asian Games’ women’s 100-meter hurdles competition is scheduled to commence on September 30 and has not yet started. A video from Yarraji’s gold medal performance at the Asian Athletics Championships held in Bangkok in July 2023 was posted on social media.
The Asian Athletics Championships logo is also shown at the video’s conclusion as Yarraji enjoys her triumph.
