Angelo Ferrari Gave His Commitment to the Lowa Hawkeyes: Iowa just secured a tremendous 2024 class recruit. Angelo Ferrari, the top-ranked wrestler in 2024, committed to the Iowa Hawkeyes via FloWrestling.

Instead of Rutgers and Virginia Tech, he chose Iowa. Ferrari, a native of Melissa, Texas, is projected to compete in the 184-pound weight class, per JD Rader of FloWrestling.

During his commitment announcement, with Iowa, Rutgers, and Virginia Tech caps on the table, Ferrari produced a Penn State cap from underneath the table. For Iowa fans observing, this may have momentarily caused their hearts to skip a beat.

Angelo Ferrari Gave His Commitment to the Lowa Hawkeyes:

As he announced that he would be joining Tom Brands and the Hawkeyes’ programme, he promptly discarded his Nittany Lion cap.

“Many individuals know my destination. I’d like to proclaim my commitment to the University of Iowa,” Ferrari said as he donned his Tigerhawk cap.

Ferrari has won the Ironman and Who’s Number One competitions twice. Ferrari defeated Illinois commit Braeden Scores and Penn State commit and U17 world champion Joe Sealey at Who’s Number One in 2022.

Mid-May, in a conversation with David Bray of FloWrestling, Ferrari mentioned several aspects of Iowa that impressed him.

“It’s like attending an Alabama football game. “Over there, they have such a dynasty,” Ferrari said of the Hawkeyes.

Then, when Ferrari visited the Hawkeyes, he was impressed by the wrestling knowledge and appreciation of the Iowa City residents.

“Walking around campus, everyone will recognise you. It’s incredible. “Wrestling is a part of Iowa’s culture,” Ferrari said.

Ferrari obviously joins his older sibling Anthony Ferrari at Iowa. In March, Anthony Ferrari committed to the Hawkeyes. MatScouts ranked him as the No. 23 overall senior class of 2022 prospect, and he originally committed to Oklahoma State, where he was projected to wrestle at 157 or 165 pounds.

Ferrari has never joined the Cowboy programme officially. The Stillwater News Press reported in August 2022 that Anthony Ferrari was charged with two counts of misdemeanour assault and battery. On April 11, Anthony Ferrari was given a one-year suspended sentence.
