Manchester City vs Inter Milan: UEFA Champions League Final

Sheikh Mansour Attended the Champions League Final

Since acquiring the club in 2008, Mansour has only attended one competitive match, against Liverpool at home in August 2010, as well as two exhibition matches in Abu Dhabi.

Mansour is the sibling of Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nayhan, the current president of the UAE. He is also married to Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed Al Maktoum, the daughter of Dubai’s ruler Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

If City defeats Inter to become the inaugural European champions, they will become the second English club after Manchester United in 1999 to win the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League treble.

Sheikh Mansour is the sibling of Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nayhan, the current president of the UAE, who is estimated to have a personal fortune of £16.8bn. He oversees the country’s sovereign wealth fund, which is estimated to be worth £799 billion.

Despite his absence, Sheikh Mansour’s name is frequently sung by City supporters, and a banner bearing his name is displayed at the Etihad Stadium during home games. He has also never attended a match involving other City Football Group clubs, including New York City, Melbourne City, Mumbai City, and Yokohama F Marinos.

Additionally, City is at the centre of a global network of thirteen clubs known as the City Football Group.
