Super Bowl LVIII breaks audience records: Is it the most-viewed game in history?

Super Bowl LVIII was a big game with record-breaking viewership, thanks to Taylor Swift's attendance and Usher's halftime show.

Super Bowl LVIII: Super Bowl LVIII was a big game that gave us a lot to think about afterward. Maybe not just from the sporting standpoint, which is already pretty important, but also when we take into account all the factors that surround the Big Game every year: advertising, attendance records, celebrities, and more.

With a score of 25–22, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in overtime, making it the second Super Bowl ever to be decided outside of normal time.

This was a record-breaking Super Bowl in terms of viewership because of Taylor Swift’s attendance and Usher’s halftime show, which also generated a lot of conversation.

With an average viewership of 123.4 million, Super Bowl LVIII was the most-watched television event in history, according to CBS, since the Apollo 11 Moon landing in 1969. Furthermore, CBS shattered the record for the greatest rating of any single television channel during a Super Bowl with 120 million viewers.

With a broadcast on the Paramount+ platform, it was also the most-watched streaming event in history.

Additionally, at least 200 million people watched the Super Bowl in full or in part across all networks and media, making it the most-watched edition ever and an increase of at least 10% over the LVII edition from the previous year.
