However, there has been some change in the original top 10, so these are the current standings.

10) Clemson

Clemson is the 10th-best team in the country and one of several highly regarded ACC programs in the nation. To demonstrate that, they won their first three games.

9) Tennessee

Tennessee has consistently shown itself to be among the top Division I baseball teams in the nation, and in 2024, that status has been confirmed. They’re just inside the top 10 after a 2-1 start.

8) Texas A&M

This season, Texas A&M has not suffered a loss. It started at this same position and has stuck with it, defeating some formidable opponents with strong players en route to a current 3-0 record.

7) Oregon State

Oregon State’s unbeaten record thus far has been sufficient to support their preseason ranking. Having started the year undefeated, they entered the rankings in seventh place and haven’t dropped.

6. Vanderbilt

Since its founding, Vanderbilt University has been home to several top collegiate baseball players, including David Price, Dansby Swanson, Walker Buehler, and others. Following a strong start to the 2024 season, they may have more MLB talent available.

5) TCU

Among the top teams in the country is TCU. After an undefeated start to the year, it started as the fifth seed in the nation and has remained there. This is a show to keep an eye on.

4) Florida

Florida, which finished just short of capturing the championship the previous season, started as the nation’s second-best team. Sadly, despite a losing start to the season, it has somewhat faltered but is still rated extremely highly.

3) LSU

The defending national champions have resumed operations. After an unbeaten start, LSU is back and looking strong despite losing Dylan Crews (to the Washington Nationals) and Paul Skenes (to the Pittsburgh Pirates).

2) Arkansas

Arkansas’s early-season record of 2-1 was sufficient to move them up from third to second place in the nation’s rankings. Its first few games have shown that it is a formidable opponent.

1) Wake Forest

In their first three games of 2023, Wake Forest dominated. The top program in the preseason just demonstrated its dominance over Fordham, demonstrating why it’s the greatest one available and why some of its players are stars in the making.
