Activate Your New Rogers SIM Card: Step-by-Step Guide

Rogers requires a valid ID and a 20-digit old and new SIM card number to activate a new SIM card at MyRogers.com.

Rogers SIM Card: sign into your MyRogers account at rogers.com to activate your new Rogers SIM card. Choose the phone number for which you are activating the SIM card. You will need to enter the 20-digit old SIM card number starting with 89302 and the 20-digit new SIM card number starting with 89302.

You will need both the old and new SIM card numbers. Two valid pieces of identification are needed to a Rogers store (a government issued ID and a photo ID) if you do not have them both.

  1. Please turn off your phone(s).

  2. The new SIM card should be inserted into the device of your choice. It is important to note that SIM cards can be broken down to fit your phone.

  3. Choose the manufacturer of the phone you need assistance with, and then select the device you need assistance with.

  4. Sign in to your MyRogers account at rogers.com

  5. Choose the phone number for which the SIM card will be activated. Note that a SIM card that came with a device upgrade can only be used with the phone number associated with that device.

  6. Select Show more device links and then select Change my SIM card.

  7. Enter the 20-digit old SIM card number beginning with 89302 and the 20-digit new SIM card number beginning with 89302. (Please do not enter any spaces).

  8. Select Continue.

  9. Select Submit.

  10. You should now be able to use your phone with the new SIM card. When the SIM has been successfully activated, you will see signal bars.

New line activation

SIM cards are already activated – simply insert them into your device to begin using them. If you’re bringing in your phone number from another company, please contact  https://rogers.com/contact. Rogers will need the account number that’s associated with your phone number from the previous company. Please keep that telephone number active while we complete the process of activating a new line.

Finding the number on your SIM card

Your SIM card’s ICCID is its unique identification number. The number begins with 89302 and is a unique 20-digit number on your SIM card.

Your SIM card number can also be found in the device settings:

iOS:

  1. Select Settings.

  2. Select General.

  3. Select About.

  4. Scroll down until you see the ICCID number.

Android:

You should turn off your phone and remove your SIM card. Most Android devices do not have a way to locate the SIM card number within their settings. The Rogers SIM Cardrefore, you will be able to find the SIM card number on the SIM card itself.

When I find/replace a lost or stolen phone, how do I reactivate it?

Your MyRogers account can be used to reactivate your found or replaced phone. Here’s how:

  1. Log in to your MyRogers account.

  2. Click on your Wireless account

  3. Select Reactivate my services under the My Device section.

After that, your phone will be immediately reactivated, with all the features that you had previously. That’s all there is to it!

Upon reactivating your phone, we will send an email confirmation to the email address associated with your MyRogers account.
