Apple Vision Pro: Features
Vision Pro is the name of Apple’s ultimately released headset. It is equipped with exterior cameras that enable users to interact with digital content in mixed reality.
When users don the headgear, they are greeted by the Home view, a floating collection of icons containing Apple’s most utilised applications, such as Mail, Music, Messages, and Safari. The system requires no hardware or controllers.
When a user looks at a specific icon, the system can detect eye movement to highlight the desired icon.
Using a technology called EyeSight, people who are gazing at a Vision Pro user can see the user’s eyes in order to determine whether the user is busy or available. When a person is in close proximity, the mixed-reality functionality will clear to reveal them.
“You can create a private moment of calm,” an Apple executive said. It is capable of multitasking and visualising images and three-dimensional renderings in a mixed-reality environment.
FaceTime has acquired an entirely new dimension, enabling lifesize calls with spatial capabilities. It is not through an avatar, as with the Meta’s Quest series, but through miniature boxes that appear in the mixed-reality environment.
Apple also highlighted business applications, noting that Vision Pro’s collaborative functionality made business travel much simpler.
Tim Cook stated that you can control it with your hands, eyes, and voice. “Relive your most important memories in an entirely new way,” Cook advised.
Cook referred to it as a “spatial journey.”
