In 1983, visionary Steve Jobs was the one who initially proposed the concept of a “App Store.” He had an idea for a database where users could buy software over the phone. Apple launched the iTunes store concurrently with the release of their revolutionary iPod, laying the groundwork for the company’s future App Store. The initial iPhone was unveiled to the public in 2007, and the App Store followed a year later.
