Fix PSN Server Status when it is Down

If PlayStation isn’t working, you can wait till it does so automatically and returns to normal.

If the PlayStation network is operating normally but you are still having trouble connecting to it, there may be a problem on your end. To resolve PSN-related issues, simply adhere to the guidelines listed below.

1. Restart your modem or router

It’s possible that your internet speed is insufficient, which would limit how well you can use PlayStation services. By going to additional websites, such as YouTube or speed test websites, you can rapidly diagnose that.

Restarting your router or modem may help you resolve the issue if internet connectivity is the cause.

2. Delete and Add Network Again

Forgetting the current network and adding it again to your PlayStation will help your internet connection run more smoothly quickly. You should take the following actions to do that quickly:

  1. The first thing you must do is choose Settings from the Home Screen.
  2. There are numerous options on the following screen; all you need to do is select Network.
  3. Next, choose Settings from the left panel.
  4. Next, select the Set Up Internet Connection menu item.
  5. The next step is to choose your current network.
  6. Next, click your controller’s settings button.
  7. Choose the Disconnect option first.
  8. To remove the network after disconnecting from it, choose Delete.

After that, pick the network to which you want to connect. If you want to connect, type the password.

3. Modify DNS

To use the internet, one needs a Domain Name System (DNS). However, the default one could be sluggish and crowded. Therefore, switching to Google’s can give you more reliable network connectivity. And you can do it by carrying out the following actions:

  1. Open Settings first.
  2. Next, choose Network.
  3. From the left panel, select Settings.
  4. Select Set Up Internet Connection next.
  5. Press the Options button on your controller after selecting your current network.
  6. Click on the Advanced Settings link now.
  7. Next, select DNS Settings and go to Manual.
  8. Add the Secondary DNS as 8.8.4.4 and the Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 after that.

To save all the changes, choose OK in the bottom right corner.

4. Start the PlayStation.

Try restarting your PlayStation if the aforementioned fix doesn’t work for you. Here’s how to go about it:

  1. Squeeze your controller’s PS button repeatedly.
  2. To restart the PlayStation, use the Restart PS option under the Power tab.
