Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar Biography: The newly appointed interim premier was born in 1971 in the Balochistan district of Killa Saifullah’s Muslim Bagh region. After completing his primary education at St. Francis School in Quetta, he matriculated at Cadet College in Kohat, but returned to the provincial capital of Balochistan after the death of his father.
The senator has a Master’s degree in political science and sociology from Balochistan University. Senator Kakar began his professional career as a teacher in his hometown. He is also one of BAP’s founding members and was designated the party’s central spokesperson in 2018.
The designated interim prime minister also serves as chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis. In 2008, he ran for election to the National Assembly from Quetta on the PML-Q ticket.
Political Career
He stood in the 2018 Pakistan Senate Elections and anticipated victory. He swore an oath on March 12. After his victory, numerous political parties paid him a visit. He gave Balochistan’s development special consideration. In addition, he previously served as a spokesperson for the Balochistan government.
