Cassie is a digital press aide for Representative Eric Swalwell of California’s 14th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. She previously interned with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and received the Achievement Award from longtime Texas 18th Congressional District Representative Sheila Jackson Lee. Her life goal is to earn a Master’s degree in Public Policy and become a political strategist who champions social issues.

Cassie devotes her time to community service. She founded Cancer Collections, a panelist series that promotes cancer awareness, and collaborates with organizations to educate communities on the early signs and symptoms of cancer, with the aim of encouraging more individuals with cancer symptoms to seek treatment at an earlier stage. Cassie is delighted to have advocated for the “Find It Early Act” introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2022, which would ensure all health insurance plans cover screening and diagnostic breast imaging with no out-of-pocket costs for women at higher risk for breast cancer. Cassie is also a Legislative Ambassador for the American Cancer Society and has recently partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to raise funds for their Visionaries of the Year campaign.

Cassie is a model under contract with Kingsley Model Management and a member of the nonpartisan group Women in Government Relations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California Merced and is a member of the sorority Delta Gamma.
