Jennifer Winget Biography: Jennifer Winget (born 30 May 1985) is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Hindi films and Hindi television. She began her career as a juvenile actor in 1995 with the film Akele Hum Akele Tum and made her television debut in 2002 with Shaka Laka Boom Boom. She subsequently played Sneha Bajaj in Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Dr Riddhima Gupta in Dill Mill Gayye.

With her portrayal of Kumud Sundari Desai in Saraswatichandra, Maya Mehrotra in Beyhadh, and Zoya Siddiqui in Bepannah, Winget established herself as one of the most prominent actresses on Indian television. She debuted on the Internet with ALT Balaji’s Code M.

Early years

Winget was born in Bombay (present-day Mumbai), India, on 30 May 1985. She is the daughter of a Punjabi mother and a Christian Maharashtrian father, but she is frequently misidentified as a non-Indian due to her Western first name.

Winget began her acting career as a juvenile actress in the film “Akele Hum Akele Tum” at the age of 10. She then appeared in “Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat,” “Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya,” and “Kuch Naa Kaho.”

Career

Winget began her career at the age of 15 in the 2000 film Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya, and at the age of 18, she appeared in the Indian film Kuch Naa Kaao as a supporting actor. She went on to work for numerous Indian television programmes. Winget’s major break as a lead on television came with the show Karthika, in which she portrayed a struggling singer with big ambitions.

She subsequently starred in Kasautii Zindagii Kay as the protagonists’ daughter, Sneha. In 2009, she supplanted Sukirti Kandpal in the role of Riddhima Gupta on Dill Mill Gayye.In 2013, she portrayed Kumud Desai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s television series Saraswatichandra, opposite Gautam Rode. She won the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Actress Critics for her performance. Winget portrayed Maya Mehrotra in the 2016 Sony TV series Beyhadh. She received numerous honours and accolades for her performance. In 2018, she portrayed Zoya Siddiqui opposite Harshad Chopda on Colours TV’s Bepannaah. In the early 2020s, she portrayed Maya Jaisingh on Sony TV’s Beyhadh 2, opposite Ashish Chaudhary and Shivin Narang. However, the performance was terminated abruptly due to the coronavirus lockdown. Winget is one of the highest-paid television actresses in India.[

Personal Life

Winget tied the knot with Karan Singh Grover on April 9, 2012. Winget indicated that she and Grover had separated in November 2014.

Jennifer Winget was born to Hemant Winget, a Marathi Christian, and Prabha Winget, a Punjabi Hindu.

Her older sibling is named Moses Winget.
