Early years
Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani was born on April 19, 1957, in the British Crown colony of Aden (now Yemen) to Gujarati Hindu parents Dhirubhai Ambani and Kokilaben Ambani. He has two sisters, Nina Bhadrashyam Kothari and Dipti Dattaraj Salgaonkar, and a younger sibling, Anil Ambani.
Ambani only spent a short time in Yemen due to his father’s decision to return to India in 1958[8] to establish a spice and textile trading business.
