Rachelle, however, had a different ambition, rejecting the offer in favor of training in New York and, if all went well, gaining a position with one of her favored major ballet companies. Rachelle was accepted to American Ballet Theatre’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School on a complete scholarship within two years, before she had even graduated from high school, followed by ABT’s Studio Company, and ultimately performing with ABT professionally.

Other milestones of Rachelle’s dance career include Under Armor campaigns, the SavageX Fenty: Back to School photoshoot, and appearing on the covers of major dance publications.
Rachelle’s second television appearance was as a featured model on the TLC Network in Randy Fenoli’s Say Yes To The Dress.

Women everywhere should understand that their past has no bearing on their self-worth or identity.
“It’s not letting past challenges define you,” she told the New York Post in a recent interview after taking home the Miss New York crown. “I believe that my story brings hope for other people — it’s not just about me anymore. It’s about sharing and being vulnerable, so people don’t feel alone.”
