Rajeshwari began her career in Mumbai-based theatre. Then, in 1991, she made her debut in the Marathi film Aayatya Ghara Gharoba. She later appeared in several Marathi, English, and Hindi films. Issaq, Welcome to Sajjanpur, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, and Sardari Begum are her most well-known films.
