Revathi Early years
Revathi was born in Cochin (present-day Kochi) as Asha Kelunni Nair to Malank Kelunni Nair, a major in the Indian Army, and Lalitha Kelunni. Her family relocated to Chennai as a result of her studies.[3]
While in school, she participated in a fashion exhibition. During the performance, group photos were taken, and one of them was chosen for the cover of a prominent Tamil magazine. At the time, Bharathiraja was searching for a new leading lady for his latest film, Mann Vasanai, and he occurred to come across her photograph.

Revathy was born on July 8, 1966 in Kochi, Kerala, to Major Kelunni of the Indian Army. Her given name is Asha Kelluni, and her screen moniker is Revathi. In 1988, she wed actor Suresh Menon. In 2002, her marriage, however, ended in divorce.

Revathi Career
Revathy made her acting debut in the 1982 Tamil film “Mann Vasanai,” which was directed by the renowned Bharathiraja. The following year, she starred in two films, “Pudumai Penn” in Tamil and “Kattathe Kilikoodu” in Malayalam. She then appeared in a number of Tamil and Malayalam films, and offers began to flood in. In both languages, she was offered the role of the female protagonist in the film. Revathy appeared in a number of blockbuster films during the 1980s and early 1990s, a period considered to be the golden age of the Tamil and Malayalam film industries.
Revathi’s second film, Ente Kanakkuyil (1985), established her as one of the most prominent actors in Malayalam cinema.
