Stanley B. Martin Lieber was born on December 28, 1922, in New York, USA. He is better known as Stan Lee. Lee Lieber was born to Celia and Jack Lieber, who came to the United States from Romania. He was born into a poor family that had a hard time making ends meet during the Great Depression. His younger brother’s name was Larry. Since he was a kid, Lee loved stories and heroes. He read a lot of books and watched a lot of movies. He went to DeWitt Clinton High School in The Bronx after his family moved there when he was a teen.
Career
When Lee was a teenager, he worked a lot of different part-time jobs. In the past, he sold newspaper subscriptions, wrote obituaries, worked as an office boy, and brought sandwiches to people at Rockefeller Center. Lee dropped out of high school early, when he was 16. A publishing company called Timely Comic hired him as an office help in 1939. In the 1960s, it would change its name to Marvel Comics. Lee worked his way up in the company and soon was acting as editor. With its Justice League of America team of superheroes, D.C. Comics was having a great time in the late 1950s. Because of this, Lee’s editor, Goodman, told Lee to make a new superhero team. When that was over, Lee and his coworker Jack Kirby made the Fantastic Four.

They bought a house in 1949 in Woodmere, New York, on Long Island, and lived there until 1952. Their daughter, Joan Celia “J. C.” Lee, was born in 1950. Jan Lee, a different girl, died not long after she was born in 1953.
The Lee family lived in Hewlett Harbor on Long Island, New York, from 1952 to 1980. From 1975 to 1980, they also owned an apartment on East 63rd Street in Manhattan. In the 1970s, they also owned a second home in Remsenburg, New York. They acquired a home in West Hollywood, California, that had previously belonged to Don Wilson, the radio host for comedian Jack Benny, in 1981. This allowed them to move to the West Coast.
