The Professional Profession of Will Osprey

Will began his career on the independent circuit in the United Kingdom in 2012 and is now regarded as one of the best professional wrestlers in the world.

In 2016, he began working as a junior heavyweight for the Japanese organisation New Japan Pro Wrestling after AJ Styles’ recommendation.

Will idolised AJ Styles as a child, making it all the more significant that he was able to sign with New Japan Pro Wrestling in the manner he did.

Will Ospreay admired and drew inspiration from Styles, and the fact that Styles helped him reach New Japan connects them.

Furthermore, Ospreay’s striking ability and ability to incorporate flying elements into his technique are similar to AJ’s.

After capturing the Best of the Super Juniors in 2016 and 2019, Will won his third IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. In 2019, Ospreay also won the NEVER Openweight Championship.

In the same year, the wrestler participated in the G1 Climax, the most impressive NJPW event for heavyweight wrestlers. In 2020, he moved up to the heavyweight division and captured the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

Frontline of Wrestling

Osprey stated in 2018 that Frontline Wrestling would be his promotion. According to the wrestler, Frontline will be a British Puroresu-style organisation that aims to legitimise wrestling in England.

Their first gathering, entitled “Build Me an Empire,” was held on June 28, 2018. After retirement, wrestlers typically choose to market themselves and seek new methods to contribute to the sport.

Osprey’s advancement was only transient. However, Will sold Frontline on the offer’s first anniversary. This was done so he could relocate to Japan and begin working full-time for New Japan Pro Wrestling.

However, his participation in the activity demonstrates his interest in the industry.

All Top-Rated Wrestling

On the All Elite Wrestling episode of AEW Dynamite that aired on June 8, 2022, Will made his unexpected debut. Along with Aussie Open stablemates Aaron Henare, Kyle Fletcher, and Mark Davis, the wrestler assaulted Trent Beretta and FTR.

This happened two weeks after United Empire teammates Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb made their AEW Dynamite debuts by assaulting Roppongi Vice and FTR.

Beretta and FTR defeated Davis and Fletcher of the Australian Open and Will of the United Empire at the AEW Rampage on June 10, 2022.

Will won his first singles match on the June 15 transmission of the special Road Rager Dynamite episode, defeating Dax Harwood.

A male singles match for Ospreay’s newly won IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship was scheduled for AEW-NJPW: Forbidden Door shortly thereafter.

At AEW-NJPW: Forbidden Door, the wrestler effectively defended the IWGP US Heavyweight Title against Orange Cassidy.

Ospreay and Aussie Open assaulted Cassidy and Roppongi Vice after the game. Katsuyori Shibata fired a gun to stop the duo.

Will Osprey | Twitter controversies

Rivalry with Vader

Vader is regarded as one of the most violent and legendary wrestlers in history. In part due to this, he did not enjoy the famous 2016 match between Will Ospreay and Ricochet.

Ultimately, they engaged in a contentious Twitter dispute that garnered significant attention. However, they used their disagreement as an excuse to start a fight.

Seth Rollins Confrontation

Will Ospreay has encountered issues on social media with other prominent wrestlers, including Vader. In response to Seth Rollins’ assertion that WWE offered the most passable grappling in the industry, the wrestler once emphasised his ability to endure.

Things rapidly deteriorated, and Rollins insisted that Ospreay view his bank account as evidence.

WWE fans informed Rollins that they disapproved of his attitude. After more than a week, Rollins apologised to Osprey for his remarks.

Will went on to accept the apology and express his gratitude to Rollins, whom he had been following since his days as Tyler Black. After their agreement, neither party continued their argument.

Discord with Pollyanna

As part of the Speaking Out campaign, Will was accused of blocking the former wrestler Pollyanna. Scott Wainwright, a friend of Osprey and fellow Swords of Essex comrade, was the target of Pollyanna’s accusations.

At Ospreay’s request, the International Wrestling League (IWL) tweeted that a venue had requested that Pollyanna be removed from an event.

Later, IWL revealed that the venue had asked for her removal, not Ospreay’s. Later, the IWL Twitter user admitted that their interpretation of a “unclear circumstance” served as the fabricated evidence.

Who is Will Osprey’s girlfriend? Marriage and children.

Since 2017, Bea Priestley and Will Osprey have been dating. Beatrice St. Clere Priestley, best known by her ring name Bea Priestley, is an English and New Zealand-born professional wrestler who was born on March 22, 1996.

Bea now competes as Blair Davenport on the NXT roster while under contract with WWE. She participated in World Wonder Ring competitions from 2017 to 2021.

Bea appeared in New Japan Pro-Wrestling as her boyfriend Will Ospreay’s attendant.

Her performances in All Elite Wrestling, Defiant Wrestling, World of Sport Wrestling, and Progress Wrestling have also garnered her recognition.

At age 14, a cerebral tumour was detected in Priestley. She had surgery at the age of 18 to have it removed.

Due to the rigours of their respective wrestling schedules, the couple announced their intention to relocate to Japan in 2019. However, they were unable to keep their union together, and they divorced in 2021.

Wrestling Mannerism and Character

Wil, one of the greatest wrestlers in history, earned the nickname “The Aerial Assassin” due to his daring, high-flying fighting strategy.

As his concluding move, the junior heavyweight wrestler utilised the OsCutter, a springboard cutter.

Due to this high-risk strategy, Will’s supporters and well-wishers are concerned for his health and career longevity. Additionally, he sustained a neck injury on April 1, 2018, when he fought Marty Scurll.

Following his confrontation with Kota Ibushi at Wrestle Kingdom 13, Ospreay was labelled “The Assassin” and debuted a brand-new finisher, a swinging back elbow dubbed the Hidden Blade.

Following his transition to the Heavyweight division in 2020, Ospreay grew larger and stronger over the subsequent years.
