AILET 2024: On August 7, 2023, the National Law University of Delhi (NLUD) will begin accepting applications for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2024. Applicants for AILET 2024 can submit their applications via the official website, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
For admission into the university’s five-year BA LLB, LLM, and PhD programs, the AILET examination is scheduled for December 10, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The NLUD will soon post the application form and admissions notice on its website. This notice will include important details such as the exam schedule, format, important dates, eligibility requirements, syllabus, and grading scheme. The registration deadline for AILET 2024 will be communicated in due time.
Each program’s eligibility requirements are detailed in detail. For the B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) programme, candidates must have attained a minimum of 45% of the total marks in the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination, with relaxations to 40% for SC/ST/PWD applicants. Foreign Nationals must score at least 65 percent on the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+) or its equivalent.
To be eligible for the One Year LL.M. Programme, candidates must have earned an LL.B or an equivalent degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD category).
For admission to the Ph.D. program, candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Law or a professional equivalent with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade ‘B’ on the UGC 7-point scale. This criterion may also be met with an equivalent degree from a foreign institution of higher education that is accredited.
National Law University Delhi administers AILET, an annual national level All India Law Entrance Test. It is the primary admissions requirement for the institution’s B.A.LL.B.(Hons), LL.M., and Ph.D. programs.
As for application fees, candidates from unreserved categories must pay Rs 3,500, while those from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) must pay Rs 1,500. SC/ST applicants with BPL (Below Poverty Line) status are exempt from the application charge.
Applicants must possess the following documents: Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates, graduation mark sheets and certificates (if available for LLM applicants), a passport-sized photograph, and a scanned signature.
After successful registration, NLU Delhi will issue admit cards with exam day instructions on its official website.
