The Department of Social Sciences and Languages at Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, organised a global seminar titled “Global Education Youth Migration: Challenges and Opportunities.”
Dr. Renu Sharma, Assistant Professor, greeted Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, as the event’s distinguished guest. Sukhdeep Gill, director, Indian Operations, SUNOH, Canada, and Dr. Pushpinder Singh, senior consultant and chief of the anaesthesia department, GTB Hospital, Ludhiana, were the seminar’s guest speakers.
Sukhdeep Singh discussed the challenges encountered by Indian students in foreign countries and shared his thoughts on how Indian students can plan and conduct research prior to moving abroad in order to minimise their difficulties and anxieties.
Dr. Pushpinder Singh spoke about the psychological issues that international students face, such as isolation and depression, as a result of being removed from their families. He stated that students who intend to reside in a foreign country must prepare their minds for the difficulties and obstacles they may encounter in order to live independently in a foreign country. Not enough attention has been paid to this aspect of migration.
Dr. Ram Singh Gurna expressed gratitude to the principal guest and guest speakers. According to him, over 250 students attended the seminar.
