JNU on boil: ABVP students clash with admin over ‘stalled’ scholarships

A clash broke out between students and staff members of Jawaharlal Nehru University on Monday over release of scholarship funds. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) alleged that the university security guards assaulted the students while they held peaceful demonstration. The students alleged that their scholarships had been stalled for the past two years and they went to the JNU administration to demand its release. The injured students include Rohit Kumar, ABVP’s campus head.
