Mathematics Olympiad Registration begins, Exam on 30th October 2022

Mathematics Olympiad Registration 2022: The registration for the Indian Olympiad in Mathematics (IOQM) has started. Students from class VIII to XII can participate in this. Registration for this Olympiad to be held internationally will be done till 15 September.

Interested students can register online or through school. At the same time, school management can also register to make schools centers, for which September 8 is the last date. At present, two schools DPS Ranchi and Guru Nanak School have been made centers in Ranchi.

The state level examination will be held on October 30. The exam will be held from 10 am to 1 pm. It is being organized by Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education.

30 participants will be selected from all regions

IOQM’s Region Co-ordinator cum Principal of Guru Nanak School, Dr Manohar Lal said that after the state level examination, 30-30 candidates from all the regions would be selected for IOQM. A total of 28 regions have been created across the country. The IOQM exam will be held on 15 January 2023. Out of this the best 50 candidates will be selected.

Candidates will get training

Dr Manohar Lal informed that 50 selected candidates will get training opportunity at Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education. After the training, the top six will be selected, who will participate in the International Mathematics Olympiad as the Indian team. Dr Lal said that in the past, about 4000 candidates had participated in the Olympiad at the state level.
