Schools in Bhopal would remain closed due to heavy rains on 22 August 2022

All schools in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh city will remain closed tomorrow, Monday, 22nd August, 2022. The district administration has declared school holiday for tomorrow due to heavy rains in the area. The orders are applicable for all schools in Bhopal, including government, private, aided and unaided schools.

This decision has been taken in view of heavy rains in the district. The Indian Meteorological Department, IMD had issued a red alert in the state on Saturday, indicating heavy rains in many parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and south-east Uttar Pradesh. Flood-like situation prevailed in parts of Bhopal last week, following which the administration decided to shut schools for two days.

Schools will remain closed for tomorrow as well. District Education Officer, DEO Bhopal has issued an order and sent it to the schools. Parents are advised not to send their children to school tomorrow.

For the weather in Madhya Pradesh and Bhopal in particular, the IMD predicts heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.
