NEET 2022 Registration: State-wise list of best medical colleges

After the Supreme Court recently expressed concern over medical seats remaining vacant, the government is preparing to develop a new mechanism for this. The Union Health Ministry with the help of the National Medical Commission (NMC) will put in place a process from the next session, which will eliminate the possibility of seats remaining vacant till the last date of admission. Recently, the Supreme Court had expressed deep displeasure when 1456 PG seats remained vacant.

On one hand, PG seats are less, while on the other hand, the number of seats left vacant is worrying. Similarly, 323 seats under All India quota of MBBS were also left vacant this year. Apart from this, about three thousand MBBS seats of management quota were not filled. According to sources, the process of deliberation has started to find a solution to the issue. The proposals that are being discussed for this will have criteria so that the vacant seats can be filled.
