NIT Rourkela exam impersonation: Four individuals were apprehended by police on Sunday in ROURKELA for impersonating as test takers during a written examination for non-teaching positions at NIT Rourkela.
Punit Singh, Gaurav Chahar, Sunil Singh, and Manish Kumar were identified as the arrestees by Rourkela DSP Pushpanjali Nigi.

According to police reports, the impostors took the exam on behalf of Haryana-natives named Deepak, Suraj Khagwal, Sunil, and Deepak Mallik.
Nigi reported that the police have recovered some high-tech devices used for exam deception.
According to police, the four were carrying identification cards, examination hall cards, and photographs.
According to the police, the invigilators became suspicious of the photographs and began querying about the subjects’ parents, residence, high school marks, and level of education.
However, the authorities decided to allow them to take the exam, and NIT security officers apprehended them as they left the examination room at 5:50 p.m.
Professor Rohan Dhiman, registrar of NIT Rourkela, submitted a police complaint, which led to the arrest of the four suspects.
