Schools in UP will be open on Sunday: As part of the implementation of the Har Ghar Tiranga and Meri Mati Mera Desh programmes under the Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav plan, the Uttar Pradesh government has ordered all primary and secondary schools in the state to remain open on Sunday, August 13.

All pupils will get special midday lunches in accordance with the orders given. The schedule for the school-based Har Ghar Tiranga and Meri Mati Mera Desh programmes has been set by the Yogi Adityanath administration.

According to this, on August 13 there will be a poem recitation competition for pupils in all the schools. The government has provided instructions to guarantee that special mid-day food arrangements are made for all of the schoolchildren due to the public holiday. A directive in this regard has been issued by Vijay Kiran Anand, Director General of School Education and Director of the Mid-Day Meal Authority.

According to the directive sent to all Basic Education Officers, activities related to the “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign will be held from August 9 to August 15 in accordance with the rules in all gramme panchayats, nagar panchayats, and local urban bodies as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav scheme’s closing ceremony.

Various programmes will also be held in schools on August 13 in accordance with the government’s directives.

According to the directive from the Uttar Pradesh government, all everyday activities in schools will have photos posted on the departmental webpage. The concerned nodal officer of the directorate should also be provided with information regarding the number of teachers and students participating in the programme on a district-by-district basis.
