Winter Holiday 2023: All schools in Delhi, Noida, and Uttar Pradesh will reopen on Monday, despite the cold weather. Although the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of another cold outbreak, in such a case, the administration can issue a new order for the winter vacation in the areas of Delhi Government and NCR. If the new order is not issued, all schools will reopen on Monday, January 16, 2023.

In preparation for winter, the Noida district administration has ordered the closure of all schools until January 14, 2023. The Delhi government has already declared a winter vacation from January 1 to January 15. In the meantime, due to the impending arrival of winter, the Haryana government has extended the winter vacation from January 15 to January 21, 2023. In addition, school holidays in the Union Territory of Chandigarh have been extended until January 21, 2023. In such a case, it is possible that the winter vacation will be extended in Delhi NCR schools as well.

Another cold wave is possible:

According to reports, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that another cold wave will hit North India. The cold wave’s peak, i.e. the lowest temperature, will occur on January 15-16, 2023. The Meteorological Department predicts dense to very dense fog in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi over the next few days. At the same time, dense fog is visible in parts of Uttar Pradesh. Aside from that, fog and cold weather are expected in many parts of Uttarakhand, North Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar.
