Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar awards: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) announced on Monday that 12 youthful scientists from across the nation will receive the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar awards in 2022. Among the awardees were immunologist Dipyaman Ganguli of the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology in Kolkata, astrophysicist Kanak Saha of the Pune-based Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics, and Kanishka Biswas of the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research’s International Centre for Materials Science in Bengaluru.
