Maharashtra 12th Result 2023: Mumbai division scores lowest second year in a row

A pass rate of 88.13 percent placed the Mumbai division at the bottom of the nine zones for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations for the second consecutive year. In 2012, the Mumbai division had an 89.7% success rate.

Since 2018, the examinations held over a month commencing on February 21 had the highest participation of 14.5 lakh students in the state. As a result of the pandemic, the class 10 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in 2021 were cancelled, and these students took their first public examinations. The increase in HSC enrollment has been attributed to the near-perfect SSC 2021 results when marks were assigned based on internal assessment.

The division with the greatest number of pupils is Mumbai. The smallest of the nine zones, the Konkan division had the greatest pass rate at 96.01%.

Students who did not pass all of their exams will be given a second opportunity during the July-August supplementary examinations. The dates will be revealed in the future. In addition, Class Improvement Scheme examinations for students who have already passed to improve their grades will be administered.

In spite of the board’s copy-free campaign, more than 240 instances of malfeasance were reported throughout the state. The Mumbai crime branch began investigating a mathematics paper (science stream) leak on March 3. In the Mumbai division, three Maths duplicating incidents were reported. In the entire province, there were 43.
