The School Education Minister of Tamil Nadu, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, has announced that the results for class 10th and 11th students will likely be released on May 19, 2023. This year, over 10 lakh students participated in the class 10 examinations, which were held from April 6 to April 20 at 3986 exam centres across the state.

The class 12 results were announced on May 8, 2023, with a passing rate of 94.03%. The females outperformed the boys with a pass rate of 96.38 percent, compared to 91.45 percent for the boys. Out of the 8,03,385 students who took the exam, 7,55,451 were successful. In the subject of accounting, a total of 6573 students achieved a perfect score.
