Simran Bala, from the Jammu and Kashmir border town of Nowshera, is the first female from the Union Territory to pass the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Examination this year.

She achieved a rank of 82 among the 151 candidates who qualified for the UPSC CAPF examination this year.

“This year, I am the only female from Jammu and Kashmir to pass this examination. I am filled with pride and gratitude. Being from the border region of Jammu and Kashmir, I have witnessed cross-border firing in my region, and this has inspired me to join the CAPF so I can also serve in the border region,” Simran Bala told ANI.

“My wish has been realised. I am now the Assistant Commandant of the Central Armed Police Forces. I will perform my duties with fervour. My family and neighbours are pleased of my accomplishments,” she continued.

Speaking about his voyage, Bala said, “I attended school here until the 10th grade, after which I moved to Jammu to complete my secondary education. Then I completed my bachelor’s degree in Gandhinagar. I was in my final semester when I began studying for this exam, and by God’s grace, I passed it on the first try.”

“My parents, teachers, and numerous others helped me. “My approach to this exam was aided by diligence, persistence, and consistency,” she explained.

She stated, in reference to her extraordinary accomplishment, “This is an all-India examination. Thanks to the internet age, it does not matter if you are from a rural area or a major metropolis; you will be able to pass the exam.”

Her message to the candidates was, “If you have what it takes, you will succeed. You require effort, sincerity, and excellent health.”

On June 2, the Union Public Service Commission released the CAPF Final Result 2021. There were a total of 151 candidates who passed the examination.
