These organisations provided producers, breeders, and the general public with guidance on how to preserve rare breeds. As a result, International Heritage Breeds Day became a movement and not just a passion, allowing agriculturists and conservationists to concentrate on preserving biodiversity so that uncommon breeds would have a greater chance of survival.
