National Dengue Day

National Dengue Day Messages: Dengue is transmitted by mosquitoes and is caused by four distinct serotypes of the dengue virus: DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, and DEN-4. Dengue, which is transmitted by the Aedes albopictus mosquito, can cause flu-like symptoms, such as severe muscle pain and nausea, and can be fatal if not correctly treated. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare celebrates National Dengue Day annually on May 16 to raise awareness of this disease.
