The ice cream’s name was chosen to bring a smile to people’s expressions. ‘Share a scoop, share a smile’ was the slogan used for this delicacy at the time.
Additionally, George Farren asserted that he invented rocky road ice cream. It is said that he didn’t do much, simply blending a candy bar and chocolate ice cream in a mixer to produce the flavour of the creamy dessert.
